Experience the rich traditions of the Gullah Geechee culture with master sweetgrass basket artisans Darryl and angela Stoneworth of DNA Baskets

 

 During this 90-minute, indoor, interactive experience, you'll discover the history and cultural significance of sweetgrass basket making through live demonstrations, storytelling, and hands-on participation as you're taught the traditional art of sweetgrass basket sewing by the master artisans.

 

enhance your experience by adding a one hour 'footprints' walking tour and explore charleston's french quarter through the stories, landmarks, and enduring contributions of the african american community.
